CODE OF CONDUCT
The Neighborhood Entrepreneur Meet™ (TNEM™)

The Neighborhood Entrepreneur Meet™ (TNEM™) is a curated entrepreneur networking and community platform built on trust, respect, and responsible engagement.
This Code of Conduct defines acceptable behaviour, ethical participation, and data responsibility for all TNEM™ interactions—both offline and online.
By registering for, attending, or participating in any TNEM™ event, digital platform, or community activity, you agree to comply with this Code of Conduct and the TNEM™ Privacy Policy.
1. Purpose of This Code (Privacy-First Community)
TNEM™ exists to:
- Enable meaningful, non-sales networking
- Protect participant dignity, time, and data
- Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Ensure responsible handling of personal and business information
This Code applies to:
- Attendees
- Speakers
- Partners & sponsors
- Team members & volunteers
- Online and offline TNEM™ platforms
2. Expected Behaviour
All participants must:
- Interact with professionalism and courtesy
- Engage in consent-based conversations
- Respect personal, professional, and cultural boundaries
- Follow event formats, timings, and facilitation guidelines
TNEM™ prioritises quality interactions over quantity of contacts.
3.Non-Sales & Ethical Engagement Policy
TNEM™ is not a sales or lead-generation platform.
The following are strictly prohibited:
- Aggressive selling or pitching
- Unsolicited promotions or follow-ups
- Forced exchange of contact details
- Mass marketing or automated outreach using TNEM™ contacts
All business discussions must be exploratory, respectful, and consent-driven.
4. Privacy, Data Protection & Consent (Core Clause)
In alignment with the TNEM™ Privacy Policy, participants must:
- Use contact details only for one-to-one, consented communication
- Not scrape, store, resell, or misuse participant data
- Not add other participants to WhatsApp groups, mailing lists, or CRM systems without explicit consent
- Respect requests to disengage or opt out of communication
Participant data shared during TNEM™ events is for limited networking purposes only.
Any misuse of personal data constitutes a serious violation of both this Code and the Privacy Policy.
4.Recording, Photography & Content Sharing
Participants must:
- Seek explicit consent before recording audio, video, or taking close-up photographs
- Avoid sharing screenshots, recordings, or quotes publicly without permission
- Respect speaker and participant content ownership
TNEM™ may record events for documentation or promotion, as disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
5. Respect, Safety & Inclusion
TNEM™ maintains zero tolerance for:
- Harassment, intimidation, or coercion
- Discrimination based on gender, religion, caste, ethnicity, language, or background
- Offensive, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour
Any individual feeling unsafe should immediately notify the TNEM™ team.
6. Speaker, Session & Audience Etiquette
Participants are expected to:
- Be punctual and attentive
- Avoid interruptions or side conversations
- Use Q&A opportunities constructively
- Respect differing viewpoints
TNEM™ encourages dialogue, not dominance.
7. Online Community Conduct (Privacy-Linked)
For TNEM™ digital platforms (WhatsApp groups, portals, apps, email lists):
- Conversations must remain relevant and professional
- Promotional content requires prior approval
- Forwarding messages or participant details outside the group is prohibited
- Political, religious, or inflammatory content is not allowed
Digital misconduct is treated equally to physical misconduct.
8. Early-Bird & Special Privileges Conduct
Participants receiving Early-Bird or special access:
- Must adhere strictly to time and content guidelines
- Must avoid promotional or sales-oriented messaging
Misuse of privileges results in immediate forfeiture without refund, aligned with the Refund Policy.
9. Consequences of Violations (Privacy-Inclusive)
Violation of this Code or the Privacy Policy may result in:
- Verbal or written warning
- Removal from a session or event
- Termination of platform access
- Cancellation of registration without refund
- Restriction from future TNEM™ participation
Severe privacy violations may be escalated legally.
10. Reporting Privacy or Conduct Concerns
Participants may report concerns confidentially at:
info@tnem.in (for serious violations)
TNEM™ commits to fair, respectful, and confidential handling of complaints.
11. Authority & Enforcement
The TNEM™ organising committee and Occasionz Events retain sole authority to:
- Interpret this Code
- Enforce actions
- Protect community integrity
Decisions are final and binding.
12. Acknowledgement & Consent
By participating in any TNEM™ activity, you confirm that you:
- Have read and understood the Code of Conduct
- Agree to comply with the Privacy Policy
- Understand consequences of misuse of data or misconduct
TNEM™ is built on trust, responsibility, and respect—for people, time, and data.
